Q. What kind of Computer do I need to run AeroLog®? A. IBM compatible Pentium or better. 256 Mbytes of Ram or better. 20 Mbytes of free disk space. Q. What kind of Software do I need to run AeroLog®? A. AeroLog® is compatible with Win 98/ME, Win NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Vista. To install and run on Vista you must have version 4.0.007 service pack 17 or higher. Q. Does AeroLog® run on a Mac? A. No. Q. Does AeroLog® run on a Linux? A. No. Q. Is a computerised Pilot Log Book legal? A. Yes. AeroLog® meets the requirements of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) Australia and the Civil Aviation Regulations with regards to the logging of Flight Time. I'd like to computerise my Log Book but I have thousands of hours already logged. What do you suggest? A. Total all previous log books and then commence using AeroLog® from a date you choose. You may go back and enter the earlier flying at a later date when you have more time available. A few "Pre Log Book" entries at the start of your log book will ensure that grand totals are correct. Q. Can AeroLog® manage aircraft maintenance? A.No. Q. Can AeroLog® be removed from my computer? A.Yes. There is an Uninstall routine. Q. Is there any product support for AeroLog®? A.Yes. I already have a copy of AeroLog®. How do I upgrade? A. Down Load from this website or contact product support and we will post you a new CD Rom. Run setup.exe to install new application files. Your current data files will not be overwritten. Q. Is it possible to import my old DOS Log Book into AeroLog®? A. Yes, but it is a bit tricky due to the fact that AeroLog® stores some fields as ID numbers, not as text. FlightAce® Software will have to do the job for you. Yes, the end user license agreement allows you to install the software on you desktop and on your laptop. Tools are available to keep the two synchronised.
