CA Personal Firewall

When I start the Country Airstrip Guide Online software it hangs and does not display the satellite map.

I have the CA Personal Firewall installed on my computer. Could this be the problem?

  • To configure the CA Personal Firewall so that the Country Airstrip Guide Online will run:

    1. Close the Country Airstrip Guide Online software.
    2. Open the CA Personal Firewall software.
    3. Under the CA Personal Firewall click the "Advanced Settings" link.
    4. Click the "Firewall" button.
    4. Click "Advanced".
    5. Click "Restore defaults" for the Home Zone and the Public Zone.
    6. Click the "Safeguard" button.
    7. Click the "Program Control" Tab.
    8. Click "+Add" button.
    9. Browse to file c:\program files\flightace\country airstrip guide\countryairstripguideaustralia.exe and click OK to add it to the list.
    10. Locate countryairstripguideaustralia.exe on the list - double click it to bring up the properties.
    11. Tick the following five check boxes:
    Allow this program to satrt other programs,
    Allow this program to safely access system privileges,
    Allow this program to safely access keys protected by registry protection,
    Trusted,
    Safe Apps.
    12. Close the CA Personal Firewall software.
    13. Open the Country Airstrip Guide Online software.

    Please note: these instructions may vary slightly depending on the version of the CA Personal Firewall that you have installed.

    If the software still hangs and does not load the satellite photo, uninstall then reinstall the Microsoft Office Web Components and uninstall then reinstall the the Google Earth Plug In.
