Virtual earth scale is in yards
The virtual earth scale is in yards. Couldn't spot how to change it. Can you set it to an aviation relevant unit when you call it?

As the end user, you are not able to change it. The software development kit for the Virtual Earth only has two settings. The default show distances in statute miles and yards, elevation in feet. The metric option shows distances in kilometres or metres and elevations in metres.
Ideally, we would like large distances in nautical miles, shorter distances in metres and elevations in feet. Unfortunately this is not possible. We chose to go with the default settings, so that at least elevations were in feet.
